JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Manager is a full-time position responsible for the management of all activities directly related to Sales and Sales Support processes. This includes providing the necessary leadership to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control the work in the department facilities in a timely, efficient, cost-effective and standard manner. The Sales Manager will coordinate the assigned resources in such a manner that the highest quality work practicable is provided within the shortest time feasible with no safety violations or accidents and within the established budgets. Oversees and gives technical assistance to computer systems and users.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Consult engineers, architects, and lumberyard and construction personnel to clarify requirements and to rectify field problems.
- Produce detailed placement plans and truss designs using plans and specifications to meet the customer’s needs.
- Ensure cost effectiveness through proficiency, accuracy, and economical design with consideration to customer needs and current inventory, production, and shipping constraints.
- Produce required paper work for order processing.
- Do quantity take-offs and prepare quotes as necessary.

This position is also responsible for financial and sales analysis items such as:

- Maintaining documentation, spreadsheets, and reports consisting of data analysis, compiled reports and/or visuals throughout the fiscal year.
- Provide budget and sales analysis for complex goods and products.
- Create organizational budgets containing a variety of annual operating budgets, and cost analyses.
- Makes recommendations for compensation and staff planning and may provide guidance to other budget planners to ensure effective budget planning for the unit – Develops and monitors complex budgets, sales goals, Commisions, etc.
- Analyzes, identifies, and makes recommendations and conducts sale/manufactured goods budget research, analyzes data, and prepares complex financial reports.
- Serves as a point of contact for staff providing information and guidance, answering questions, and responding to inquiries, building code knowledges, sales of goods, and any other questions as deemed necessary by position.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

- Reliable commute.
- Strong experience with creating, monitoring, and laying out budgets for departments or companies.
- Active implementation of quantity take-offs, prepare quotes, reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of building codes, building construction materials, and methods.
- Strong ability and experience working with financials such as sales reports, profit margins, analysis of quotes v. orders, or other items as you see applicable to this position.
